Welcome to the Galway Filipino Irish Community website! Based in Galway in the west of Ireland, we provide a central location for Filipinos in Ireland to meet and socialise, as well as discussing the events of the day.
The GFIC also organises events such as festivals, competitions, and mass meetings every third Sunday of the month, and help immigrants to Ireland to settle in and integrate with the local Irish community.
A word from GFIC Persident Vincent Galeon!
Kamusta mga kababayan! I am encouraging all the members who have signed in to our community website to make use of our site. It is our pride and proud to say that our website maybe the first and if not the only Filipino Website in the Rep. Of Ireland as of this writing.
Kudos to our good friends Ronan and April Mae. We would like to encourage our families and friends to make use of this website as an alternative communication hub where we can have a chat, share relavant issues that might concern our migrant status, update back home and perhaps a social networking among us.
Let us also help in our own way promote Philippine Tourism, cultures and traditions that make us distinctively Pinoys. Before when we envisage to have our own community website, we did not thought that it would be of great achievement by the GFIC, but rather on how the GFIC could be of service to its members and friends.
Now that dream has become a reality, help us to do more service to you by supporting our forthcoming activities and projects for this year 2007. in behalf of the officers of GFIC, I welcome everyone and make this site as your own. MABUHAY. Vincent Galeon |
